Hurricane Cabin in Jan 2015

Posted by on January 21, 2015

Finally made it in. We are definately lacking snow fall, but I did have a good 5 days :<) So you can see in the pictures below, what is considered low snow and how much I had to shovel off the steps just to get to the door. The others are shots of the tongue and grove boards I got on the first wall.

The drive down on Thursday was nice, a little ice on the roads but not bad all. The trail from the parking area to the cabin was different story. Appearently the lack of snow has gotten everyone searching for any kind of riding and it looks like a group found our area. The trail was rough and hard, also made you think your kidneys were going to detach themselves.

The insulation is 100% done and now its time to get busy on the walls. Lots more tongue and grove to put up and sheetrock to hang. Maybe with any luck I’ll this all done by summer, but most likely not.
